me and my boyfriend have been through alot. we were together for 5 years and broke up for 8. we got back together a year ago. he told me he wasnt sure if he is attracted to me. but totally contradicts himself by the way he acts. im so confused.

He has been out of work for about 6 months. We have sex and I can see he enjoys it I just don't know why he would say that.

Thanks for coming to EmpowHER and for being a part of our community. I understand how you could be confused. Why did you and your boyfriend break up last time? Is this a clue why? Are you happy in this relationship?
Regardless of those answers, you deserve to be with someone who doesn't send you mixed signals. Perhaps if you take a step back, and think about what you want in a relationship, and how this guy matches with that ideal (or not), you can then decide how truly invested in this relationship you are, and consider how much he is. I'm sure the feelings run deep here, but 13 years...how much more time do you need? a lifetime? or is it time to move on? It's up to you, and we can't make the decision for you. Be true to yourself.
We're here to give you support and inspire you. Let us know if you need either, because this work isn't easy, I know from experience.
