How essential is that to take milk in pregnancy?
I am 26, 5 months pregnant and I totally hate milk.
I am having tea, once in a day, which is prepared by a cup of milk.
will this be sufficient ?

Hi Anonymous,

Milk is an essential part of your diet during pregnancy because during pregnancy, our little ones suck all the Calcium right out of us. To get the adequate amount of Calcium that you need, you'd have to drink 3 glasses of milk per day-- could be 1% milk, you don't have to drink whole milk. If you feel like you can't take 3 glasses a day, you can take a calcium supplement.

Remember to also take your prenatal vitamins which are absolutely essential as well.

Best,

Rosa
