i had my last period on 4th may. since then i didnt had my periods.a week before my doctor has advised to deviry for 5 days but i dint had periods and now she has advised me susten 300 for 5 days. can u please tell me for wat purpose susten is advised. I am married but not planning for pregnancy.and there is a chance of getting pregnant. i had sex on 21st of may.

I had my last period on 26th Jan since then i didnt had my periods, she has advised me susten 300 for 5 days. I taken the tablet 17th March to 21st March, till I didn't had a period. am married planned for the pregnent.

Hi Anon,
Just out of curiosity-- you did test for pregnancy prior to going to your doctor, right?
Susten (Micronized Progesterone) can be used to bring on menstruation in women of childbearing age who have had normal periods and then stopped menstruating. It works by decreasing the amount of estrogen in the uterus.
