my 17 yr old daughter had her period for the first time when she was 12. she was regular for 3 or 4 months but after =that she has not have her period sometimes she will get it maybe she will spot for one day and than it disapears. we went to an obgyn she reconmended birthcontrol but she refuse to take them.
Now she is concern are there any other ways to treat these without the birth control?

Anon - Generally it's recommended to live a healthy lifestyle to naturally support a regular cycle, and that would of course include good nutrition and a regular exercise program. If you daughter is already doing this she may just be among those who have irregular periods. There could also be a medical cause.
