My boyfriend and i have been dating for 6 months, im 18 and hes 17. We lost our virginities to each other fairly early in the relationship but we barley ever have sex. It went from once a week to once a month! I wouldve thought that he would want it 24/7 as he is a teenage guy but he doesnt! Ive talked to him about it and he says many things like he just doesnt feel like it or he gets nervous when people are in the house and even that its because he hates condoms. I dont know what to do! I have told him that it makes me feel like im not sexy or pretty enough and he says its not that he just doesnt feel the urge to do it often. He did heavily use pot alot at the start of the relationship but has cut down alot but its still the same. Is there something i can do? What am i doing wrong?

Hi Anonymous,

There's nothing you're doing wrong. You and your boyfriend are 17 & 18 years old-- he's telling you why he isn't having sex with you, he's scared of getting caught and is probably not enjoying the condom thing too much. At your age, this is probably all there is to it. Unfortunately, until he gets used to the idea of a condom and you have a place where he won't be scared of getting caught, this is probably the way it will be for a while.

Good luck to you,

Rosa
