Im really desperate right now i've been suffering from PITYRIASIS LICHENOIDES CHRONICA for about 3 months. and it's very hard for me to accept that there is no cure for this horrible thing. Can someone help me how to manage my condition i had it on my face, neck and all over my body. Is it covering it up by using make up can conceal the redness of my rashes? I'm from the Philippines anyway can someone give me names of best cosmetic products for PLC that are available in my country? I really appreciate your help Thank you and more power!

I'm 21, and I've been suffering from PLC since I was 16. I had a biopsy done because they thought it was ringworm and I was on all kinds of medications that were not relieving my symptoms. The dermatologist, after finding out it was PLC, gave me a prescription to tan. The tanning beds helped cure my symptoms, but it was horrible for my skin. Just recently I started using coconut oil on my spots, just rubbing some on after a shower, if I have free time, and before bed and it is GONE! I highly recommend using coconut oil because it has done wonders for me. Organic virgin coconut oil from Whole Foods, but you can get it at other places too. I would go with the pure coconut oil, not the modified. I hope this works for you!!

Hi RimaBer

Are you still suffering from PLC? I see your question about PLC was posted lastyear, I'm new here , I am also suffering from the same condition since 2003, and I've been to different dermatolgists but couldn't get any help until I went to a naturopath doc, his medication combined with the blood group diet helped a bit but I was never cured , he passed away while I was still on treatment, his death brought a lot of stress to me, I gave up on myself for a while and the PLC came got worse due to stress and also bcos I stopped the blood group diet, however yesterday I had an appointment with an ayurvedic physician , I had an hour consultation with him, and an hour healing session (more like therapy), he then gave me meds, and prescibed me a new diet, which is more of fruits and veges , and no hot spices, I'll be on this diet for 6 months but I'll be on his treatment for a year ands half,, he promised me 100% cure, have faith ,,,, I'll be intouch with updates as soon as I see any improvements,,,, wish u all the best , please try the blood group diet or the Psoriasis diet or rather consult a homeopath, naturopath or ayurvedic physician , you have nothing to lose,

Hi my 7 year old son was just diagnosed with PLC and I was wondering if you tried the extra virgin coconut oil for treatment? If so how did it work for you? What treatments have you tried? We tried topical steroids with not much success and are about to start light therapy. Any advice or help you could give would be great! I am so sorry your self are going through this.
