My RLS is getting worse. What should I do?

I was diagnosed in 2001. I was put on Meripex which worked great. I went through my entire savings account before I learned about side effects “OCG”. Dr. switched me to Requip.....same results. Had to stop. RLS SEVERE. I went to Stanford in Calif. Tried all these different meds that made me so sleepy that i could not function. Then Horizant came on line and it helped a lot but after a few years it didn’t. Now I am up every night walking around the house, sometimes for an hour before RLS subsides, then it’s hard to get back to sleep. Makes it hard to go to work every day. Complicated with very low back and hip pain.

Hello. Thank you for posting today.

I think as you stated, your back and hip pain are exacerbating the RLS. Are you being treated for your back/hip issues? If not, maybe they need to be addressed (or readdressed). You might look into alternative treatments and/or therapies if nothing else seems to be working. Below is a good resource for RLS that can help. Copy/paste the link.
