i suffer from ATN and recently after a bad bout of a sinus infection my GPN has flared up. my question is that at the same time my my GPN flared up i began having palpitations. Are the two connected?

Just so we are clear, are we talking about Trigeminal neuralgia and glossopharyngeal neuralgia?
