I had a pelvic ultra sound done & I have bilateral cysts the left one larger than the right left 4.3X3.3 cm w/ no fluid noticed. I went in because I have had 2 periods in May & then starting in June I have had constant bleeding (spotting). I have slight pain & tenderness. However I have recently not been feeling well, Fatigue, migraines, loss of appetite. I have been referred out to a OBGYN but the 1st avail is Aug 16th & just this week I have had heavy bleeding now, My thought was maybe this is my normal period now…(I have always had regular periods on time they have always been heavy a few days then die down.) Any suggestions as to what is happing? Should I be concerned & try and get a sooner appointment?

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. Cysts can be very painful and you should certainly follow up with your doctor as scheduled. If you feel uncomfortable, you should either try to make an early appointment or go to the emergency room. I cannot make that decision for you. Here is some additional information that might be helpful. https://www.empowher.com/media/reference/ovarian-cyst
