Q:

Period-like feelings with no period

For the last 2 days I've been experiencing period-like feelings (queasiness, tenderness and pain in the abdomen) but without the period. I don't keep track of my periods, but they generally happen at the start of the month, though sometimes at the very end of the month before- so I wasn't expecting a period for about another 5ish days.
I never get period pain more than a couple of hours before my period starts, so I kept expecting it to kick in on the first day- but there's been 0 blood.

The feelings come and go in intensity- mostly pretty quiet, but making me feel over all under the weather...
My periods are at the extreme end of the pain scale.
Also my doctor believes I might have endometriosis, due to a life time of unmanageable period pain (which causes fainting and vomiting frequently), and 2 years of frequent unprotected sex with my fiance which has not resulted in pregnancy. I was referred to a specialist for this, and have agreed to surgery to check my fertility and look for endometriosis.

Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,

Endometriosis is the most likely cause for your symptoms. Other symptoms it can cause include:
-Pain with sex
-Painful urination during periods
-Painful bowel movements during periods
-Diarrhea, constipation, nausea.
-Allergies
-Chemical sensitivities
-Frequent yeast infections
If you have any of these symptoms, that further confirms that having surgery for Endometriosis is a good idea.
