Hi,
I'm 18 years old and have always suffered from irregular periods. Even though they are irregular they have never been short nor light. They usually last 4 days, but I just recently started my period on Saturday, Sunday morning until night (around 12), now it's 2:00 Monday and my flow is light. Which is not normal for me, I usually experience a heavy flow. Also, I've been going through a lot of stress (relationship wise). What could this mean or what can I do to prevent this? Also last time I had sex it was protected sex, with no rip,tear, or hole.

Stress can have a profound effect on your menstrual cycle. So that may be what is going on. But have you seen a gynecologist? If you haven't, I suggest you do. You can discuss birth control if you like, and you can get a baseline exam to see that everything is normal and that the irregular periods are normal for you and not a sign of a problem such as PCOS or something.
