Im on birth control but i missed a few days and this month my period was 5 days late but on the 6th day I started bleeding but it was lighter than my normal period and it only lasted for 2 1/2 days.

Hi,
It is completely normal to have a period that starts late and lasts for a shorter duration of time. When you miss pills (how many? Did you make them up the following few days as directed?), your period can change, too.
I am happy to explain how, if you are curious, but your body is reacting normally.
