Q:

Possible pregnancy... or just stress?

Hi, so my boyfriend and I have been going out for a while and about 2 months ago we decided to have sex (March 26th), we used a condom as i'm not yet on any birth control. We did it again on March 31st except this time we didn't use a condom - stupidly - but we did oral at the end so i know he didn't ejaculate 'in me'... I started my period a week later on the 7th/8th of April for the usual 5 days but now I'm about 2 weeks late... I've heard cases where women have had sex before their periods, had their period but still ended up pregnant. Any chance I could be pregnant?

I never heard yet a woman who had sex on a certain month and on the next got her period and becomes pregnant on the third month. Once your menstrual period came, then that means you are really safe from pregnancy. Maybe your period comes late due to some factors but if this bothers you from time to time, the best thing to do is check it with a pregnancy test.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  If you had intercourse without any protection, your chances for pregnancy are higher.  You will need to take a home pregnancy test to know if you are pregnant.

Best,

Daisy
