well i have had a Chunky middle for all my teen years. im only 20 and i have been eating badly lately. i've gotten my sleep schedule messed up since i lost my job. i do believe i just need to get back into a good schedule and eat more healthy. and start exercising.its not necessarily that i look pregnant. im about 5'2" and weigh about 145-150 haven't actually weighed in a while. and its confusing because people keep telling me i look thinner. but i dont feel it. now that i think about it i dont think i have gained. i have lost about 25 to 30 pounds since last year so maybe its just my self confidence telling me "hey you look fat"
thanks for your help

thank you so much, i was freaking out because to me it also looked like i could be pregnant. i really don't think she was being rude, she was a special lady, about 50 years old. i don't exactly know what is wrong with her but i don't think she intentionally meant to be rude.

Maybe you should see your health care provider because you are gaining weight in just one area. If even you think it looks like you are pregnant, you may have some sort of medical issue. It's worth getting checked out by your primary provider.

Hi Anonymous

You use two forms of birth control every time you have sex and you have not missed a period. It is highly unlikely you could be pregnant. It sounds to me like you met a very rude person. There is a big difference between gaining a little weight and being pregnant. It seems you know that but the person you spoke to does not.

You have nothing to worry about. Thank you for writing and I hope in the future you don't have to deal with ignorant comments about your weight.
