Q:

Pregnant after missed pill?

Not sure if I might be pregnant. I had sex with my husband Friday night, at which point I had already missed one pill and the was supposed to take the next one earlier that evening. I know I was being foolish by forgetting. Anyway, I've been looking at the calender and at my pill packet and realized I missed my pills during the time I'd normally be ovulating. I began to have concerns because Saturday evening, I got a cramp on the left side of my uterus. It was a little sharp and lasted for an hour, and after my husband and I had sex again that night, there was a little bit of blood, but not too much. Even later that evening, I got overwhelmingly nauseated. I'm not sure if this all adds up to being pregnant. I'm planning on taking a pregnancy test as soon as I think it'll show but I'm just wondering what my chances are.

Hi marinewifey33,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Anytime you missed a pill your chances of ovulating increases.  If you are having symptoms it's best to take a pregnancy test or see a doctor. Especially if you are bleeding during intercourse.

Best,

Daisy
