I am very confused with what is going on with my body. 4 months ago i stopped taking birth control and my boyfriend and I decided on this together. My periods were still regular like normal, coming every 28 days, last about 4-7 days etc. My last full period was 27th of May. Then in June I had some very light bleeding 5 days before my period was supposed to arrive. The blood weird in color, a little faded looking with a hint of pink. It was also very light and only lasted 2 days. No cramps with it, nothing. After that happened I started to feel so many symptoms of being pregnant...food aversions, fatigue, very dizzy. I took a few tests and all showed negative. I even went to my doctor for a urine test and it was negative. If that 2 day of light bleeding was considered my period than my next period should be starting on the 17th of July (tomorrow)...but I ended up starting two days ago...and same weird color, faded, very light flow, and now the color of it is brown. This bleeding once again only lasted two days. I'm feeling very dizzy again, my breasts sense the last 2 day bleeding have grown, I am getting muscle spasms in my lower abdomen, and nothing about food sounds good. I'm confused to whether this is vaginal bleeding or menstrual bleeding as my periods have always been regular in color, the time that it comes and goes, etc. I know I'm getting negative tests but what are the chances that I could still be pregnant and having light bleeding like this?

Hi, Anon.
Thank you for your post.
I think it's unlikely you are pregnant since your test was negative. If you still have doubts, if only for your peace of mind, you could ask for a blood pregnancy test. Go back and see your GYN and discuss your irregularity. You might have a hormonal imbalance.
