Rash on cheeks: Rosacea?

Hi there.
I have always had very clear skin through out my teens and early twenties. I am in my late twenties right now. I have a slight rash that looks like freckles on my cheeks and some on my forehead. On feeling them, they are like very tiny disturbances in the skin. It gets red during summer or when I have exerted i.e. ran etc. I had some kind of photo-allergy about 15 years back and totally covered my face for 2 years and never left without sunblock. However I don't wear sunblock or cover my face anymore. The acne/rash/freckles on my face look like a mild mild case of rosacea. I want to know what can I do to get rid of it?

P.s. I have had this complaint ever since I developed asthma which was 2 years ago. The asthma is no breathlessness but cough near dust and other allergens. I am an Asian and of fair skin.
Looking forward to your say on this.

Have you ruled out heat rash?

Since you notice this red rash during hot weather and after physical activity, you could be experiencing some heat rash that does not need to be treated (just prevented). If you are not using sunblock, it could also be sunburn or windburn (if you are running outside, your face could get "chapped" from sweat and sun and the "wind" as you run).

For heat rash, you want to make sure you keep your skin as cool and dry as possible. If you are outside, wear a hat that provides shade to your face, and try to run in shaded areas. Apply cool water to your face and gently dab with a towel. Wear sunscreen that is made for sensitive skin, and keep your skin well-hydrated with moisturizers at night.

Let us know if this helps, or if you think you have rosacea and not chapped/extra dry skin or heat rash.

Dear Alison,
Thanks for the prompt reply. The rash gets more noticeable in heat. However it has been here for the past two years, All close-ups of mine show them very clearly, winter or summer. Appear like small dots/pimples/freckles.
I will definitely wear a sunscreen from now onwards. And I don't use moisturizers but I will now.
Thank you so much,
