Realationships

This has nothing at all to do with sex but it has a lot to do with realationships, so today I saw the guy I like at the mall. I’ve known him for almost a year now and we are really great friends. However we haven’t talked in about 2 weeks and he was with his mom so it was really hard to try and wave or say hi. When I finally found an opportunity to try and make it less awkward by waving a little he didn’t see me and left. Now I feel like maybe he thinks I was purposely ignoring him. He’s moving schools and I’m afraid I will lose contact. What should I do?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

You're reading too much into this. It's awkward when you meet a boy you like and he's with his mom. He probably felt that way too. But that's all that happened.
Send him a message/text and say it was good to see him, briefly, and if he's ever up for a coffee, he should let you know. And leave the rest to him.
Best,
Susan
