hey i messaged her few months back aswell, so heres my story me and my boyfriend had a perfect relationship 2years back while we were newly grown teenagers, with the passage of time we become really serious and during that he had an accident which broke his back and it changed his life completely, when he was 6months on the bed he was rude and tried to breakup as he said he cant walk etc and life is difficult for him,i never left him in that situation. Now,, by the Grace of God he can walk and is leading a normal life but he has to be very careful. On january we brokeup as he didnt wante a relationship, i agreed him as i wanted to give him what he likes because of his situation. its been 3months now, we still talk and its normal i still tell him i love him and i can tell he does too but he says we dont have a future so its of no use. and most imp hes one year younger than me. weve met a couple of days, some times we still hug or hold hands, but he says its useless. hes like im the only girl he can be serious with and he cant just use me as a lust or physically only. he says we'll wait fir few years and then we will see,,,but i cant move on my everything is being affected i love him to much and i cant spend a day without texting him. im still talking to him at the moment,,tell me what should i do?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. If that's the way he feels, it might be best to continue a friendship with him.  If you feel the friendship is only hurting you more, you might want to stop it and give each other some time.

Best,

Daisy
