my husband and I have been together for 20 years he was injured about 7 years ago and has been on vicodin and other medications, he never wants to have sex and says it is broken, when we do have sex he has to finish off by masterbating, what can we do? I am so afraid of what this has done to our relationship, I believe his is doing alot of masterbating on his own,

Hi Grams143,
Thank you for your question. I believe this question may be related to your other question about your husband's vicodin use. He may want to talk with his doctor (at your urgence?) to discuss if the vicodin still is the best treatment for him. He can explain how it is affecting his interpersonal relationships. It is possible that the doctor could switch him to a different medication, or work on getting rid of the pain related to the accident.
Masturbation is a natural and normal release for both men and women, and shouldn't cause concern. However if it is compulsive, and is affecting your relationship, it may need to be addressed. Work with a medical professional or therapist to get to the bottom of what could really be going on.
Good luck, and let us know what you find out.
