i need someone to advice me with my situation. i just recently had unprotected sex (it was my first time to have sex) with my boyfriend. things got heated up eventhough it was the first day of my period. thinking that we were safe since i was menstruating, we had unprotected sex. i took a pt kit after 5weeks and it came out negative.my cycles are usually long and irregular but i am worried because until now, my period has not started yet and its day 44! i feel moody, bloated, my breasts are tender and a couple of days ago, my temperature's been spiking up. i also noticed a few changes in my vaginal discharge. it has gone from stringy, clear and slippery and just recently it has become milky in consistency. can i be pregnant? id appreciate your help.

You know, I was considering having sex with my boyfriend during my period, but I didn't know anything about it. So I started searching on internet and found this very good site http://www.sexonperiod.com/ full of useful tips from "how to avoid making a mess" to "can you get pregnant on your period". You should really check it out. It helped me, a lot!

thanks for responding! i took another test today which is exactly a week after my first test and its still negative. Thank God! i took the test properly and followed the instructions and after the result came out i think i stared at it for too long making sure it didnt change to positive! lol this whole situation im in causes me too much stress that it makes me regret having sex at all. but today's result made me feel a bit better but i think id only be safe if my period comes up. is there a pill that would "start" my period? also, id like your opinion about birth control pills. im worried about its long term effects. if and when my period wont show up by the end of this week, id definitely see a doctor.
