Well I started my period again after 4 days of being off. As of today I AM going on 6 days now. My regular cycle I have pain for the first 3 days of bad cramps. But I had no pain or discomfort until today. I have a little pressure at my hip line of my stomach. Also the blood is very red still.

Hello, and thank you for sharing your question with the community.  I'd love to give you some helpful information, but to avoid misdirected answers I will need a little more information.

I want to be sure I have the facts right.  Do you mean to say that you had a full period, then it stopped for 4 days, then started again for another 6 days?  If so, that is very unusual, and you are losing too much blood.  A normal period lasts anywhere from 4 to 7 days.  If you have 2 in a row with only a 4 day break, that is very hard on the body.

You should see you doctor or call an advise nursing right away. They may suggest you take birth control pills to keep your periods regular.  Also when you bleed a lot during a period you are prone to be anemic, so talk to your doctor about having your iron count checked in order to avoid anemia.

Good luck with everything.  Let us know if you have any more questions.

Yes, that's what I was saying. And I feel better today but the bleeding has continued. No pain today or pressure. I have had 5 pregnancies and 4 births ages range from 20 to 13. I am 35 yrs old.

Hello,

Since the bleeding has continued, I strongly urge you to see a doctor.  Excessive bleeding can be the warning sign of many dangerous reproductive issues and can effect your over all health as well even if you do not feel any other symptoms.

All the best,

Faith
