Tampons

I have been using tampons for about two years (I am 16) and I always use slender tampons. Applying them is not a huge problem, but if I use a larger absorbency it really hurts to take them out. Slender tampons only come in lite and regular, and they really don't last long enough for me. I wish I could use a heavier absorbency without it hurting to take out. Is there anything I can do?

Hi ellie2,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  It could be the brand that you are using.  You might want to try Plaxtex sport/Gentle glide orTampax pearl.  You should not leave a tampon longer then four hours, leaving it on for too long can cause it to expand and causing pain when taking it out. Or removing it too early can also cause pain.

Best,

Daisy
