Is the temperature different when you take it under the arm instead of under the toung ferenhieght please

The best way to know the temperature of a child is to take his/her temperature rectally. Many parents don't like this method and feel they may harm their child so the other reliable way is via the ear or under the tongue.

The underarm is an acceptable method but not as effective as the methods listed above.
