I am 37 yrs old. My periods are normal till this month bt this month i gt periods again aftr 18 days intervl. Is this nrml or nt?? This month i ate lots of junk foods and high energy diet. Cd this be the reason?? Secondly besides 18 day gap nuthing else seems unsual. Kindly suggest.

Hi. I had a period jan 5th lasted 5days which is normal. I spotted 3 times in between and then had a very heavy period for 5days last 2 days of Jan beginning of Feb. I have had stomach cramps. Me and my partner are trying for a baby I am 36 he is a bit older but we r both worried as to what to do now. I have always had period one a month with a 28 day cycle before the next one is due. Any ideas what this could be????

Consider scheduling an appointment for an exam with your gynecologist. The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. Any upset will cause a change. You would want to know if there are any issues before becoming pregnant.

At the age of 37, I would think you are too young to be showing early signs of perimenopause.
The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. Any upset or imbalance will cause changes.
If this pattern continues, please contact your gynecologist. Having a period less than 21 days apart can lead to blood loss resulting in iron deficiency anemia.
