It feels like razors coming out and it is very painful. I am 52 year old male and never had this problem before, this has been happening for about 6 months now and I'm getting worried

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Pain or discomfort while passing stools is definitely a cause of concern if a person experiences it occasionally.  Some of the causes can be due to constipation, indigestion, anal fissures, rectal cancer, hemorrhoids and many other causes.  It might be best to see a specialist such as a gastroenterologist, he might suggest having a colonoscopy.  To know what can be causing the discomfort.

Best,

Daisy
