I am expecting AF on the 16th of May so I am still in my tww period...however the last two days I have been having these weird twinges that alternate from both sides near my pelvic/hip area off and on all day and night. They are not painful but I know its too early to take a hpt.....what could be going on?

Hello Anonymous,

Does the tingling sensation feel like slight cramping? If so, it is possible that you might be pregnant. A few days after conception, the fertilized egg attaches itself to the wall of the uterus. This can cause one of the earliest signs of pregnancy- spotting, and sometimes cramping.

If your period does not start by February 9, you can take a home pregnancy test.

Hi kittykat,
Thanks for decoding your question. It is possible that the twinges are associated with ovulation, as the ovaries are getting ready to release an egg.

Interestingly, the ovaries don't "take turns". Which one releases an egg is random and one may release an egg several times in a row before the other one "takes a turn". On occasion one ovary will release an egg and the other one will release an egg sometime with in the next 24 to 48 hours. This doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

If your period is late by at least one week, then take a home pregnancy test.

af= aunt flow or period and tww=two week wait which means the two week wait between ovulation and when af is expected which can be from getting preggers or not if the egg is fertilized and no I am not under any fertility treatments

Hello Anonymous,
What does AF and tww stand for? It sounds like you are undergoing fertility treatment. If so, then any symptoms which you are experiencing should be discussed with your infertility specialist.
