I went off my Birth control pills in June because we're ready to have a baby. I cannot remember if I was a 24,28 or 30 day before ever starting taking birth control pills ( I just remember getting my period regularly every month). While I was on my pills my period came every 28 days. When I went off them in june my period came every 30 days, but now this month (Oct) I just got it on the 28th day, is this how its going to be from now on, is this a sign that my body is starting to regulate? its been a regular period every time. I understand it takes time for a womans body to get back to normal after going off the pills and be able to get pregnant, is this normal what should I expect?

Dear Anon,
Thank you for your post. Yes, this is very normal. A 28 day cycle is desirable when trying to conceive even though many women can conceive with no problem with a 30,31, or 35 day cycle. As far as how long it takes to regulate, that really depends on your body. Some women can get pregnant right away after coming off the pill whereas it can take another 6 months of trying.
I would not be worried about this, your body is reacting normally.
