What can be causing the pain in my stomach

Ok across my sea section scar I have this severe pain that comes in strong and fades out like spasms kinda when it happens it's mostly on my left side sometimes on the right to were ever the pain is the knot forms and when I lay down it'll ease up what is it that can cause this and is their anything I can do to help the pain until my appointment with my doctor

If you have some sort of inflammation in the abdominal wall, that can cause pain that changes with posture, such as lying down.

When was your c-section? If you are still recovering, the pain might be related to that. We cannot know. Until you see your doctor, warm compress or a light heating pad can be soothing and may help with spasms. Over-the-counter pain medication can help ease discomfort. Avoid positions that aggravate the area. If the pain worsens, don't hesitate to seek immediate medical help.
