Don't know what top ask other than the above question. Haven't had much sleep--up constantly to urinate.

Hi Anonymous

Bladder infections usually require a diagnosis by a health care provider and a prescription for antibiotics. There are a couple of things that can mimic bladder infection, which is why professional diagnosis is important, and there are complications related to untreated or chronic bladder infection, which is why you need the antibiotics to kill the bacteria causing the infection.

In the meantime, drink lots of fluids. Once the infection is treated, drinking cranberry juice on a regular basis has been proven to help decrease bladder infections. Some also suggest taking vitamin C regularly. It is important to have good hygiene-most bladder infections are caused by bacteria spread when wiping back to front, thus cross contaminating your urinary tract.

Please make an appointment with your health care provider so you can get treatment and avoid complications. Good luck and thank you for writing.
