Dear Anon, 7.9 mmol is the equivalent to about 142 mg/dl which is substantially high if you were fasting when you took this glucose test.

A normal fasting glucose result should be below 126 mg/dl or 7.0 mmol. Have you been experiencing any of these symptoms?
* Weight loss
* Increased urination
* Extreme thirst
* Hunger
* Fatigue
* Blurry vision
* Irritability
* Frequent or recurring infections
* Poor wound healing
* Angina
* Painful leg cramps when walking
* Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
* In women: frequent vaginal yeast infections
* Problems with gums
* Itching

This one episode does not diagnose you as a diabetic but it may be a good idea to have some blood work drawn to ensure that maybe you didn't eat something late the night before that may have raised your blood sugar so high.
