I started my period two years ago. I've always been pretty irregular. Before the summer I didn't have a period in two months, then had a really heavy one whilst I was on holiday! Lucky me! I then had an extremely short and light period in October. Now it's been 60 ish days since then and I'm starting to get really worried! I occasionally have sex with my boyfriend, and always use protection. We also always check afterwards for tears in the condom ect. Anyway I took a test because I'm a massive worrier and all this was getting me down. It said I wasn't pregnant. So now I think there might just be something wrong with me!! Please can someone help? I'm 16 if that effects things? I just keep worrying I'm pregnant or Ill or summut ... Any help would be much appriciated!

Hi sam7,

You can not get pregnant if you were wearing clothes, Sperm can not swim through clothes.

Hi CallieB,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  At your age, most girls experience hormonal changes, causing their cycles to be irregular.  Many other conditions, such as ovarian cysts can also cause this to occur.  You will need to see your doctor and explain any changes and symptoms.

Best,

Daisy
