When should I worry about my period being late if I am not sexually active and have alway been regular?

I have not traveled anywhere in the last six months and I have not been ill at all. I am twenty years old.

Hello Anonymous! Thank you so much for visiting the website and for posting your question to us. My questions are pretty much exactly the same as Coach Virginia. Would you mind posting again to let us know how old you are? So many things can throw off when you get your period other than being pregnant, and oftentimes it's more a symptom of whatever other issue you are dealing with. I'd also like to know if you've been ill lately or if you have been traveling or anything (I know that sounds funny, but I have a girlfriend who swears her period is affected by her travel plans!) We look forward to hearing from you again.

Dear Anon, before I can share my opinion or suggestion I would like to know a little bit more about your age. Are you approaching peri-menopause by any chance? Can you identify a possible change in your life in the past few months? For example, have you experience a serious illness or a nasty infection or emotional stress? More info from you will help us help you. Hope to read more...
