I started birth control last Sunday, I was spotting so I figured that was the first day of my period. I spotted the next day too & didn't start bleeding till Tuesday . it was never heavy , mostly just light bleeding but there's no brown in it. now today I'm still bleeding, it still feels like all the other days & doesn't seem to be stopping soon. I'm really sick of it & just want it to stop. I just finished the first week of my pills yesterday.
whats going on?

Hi devilcupcakes,

A normal period can last up to 7 days. While it can be annoying, it isn't uncommon or abnormal. What kind of birth control are you on? Sometimes when you first start taking oral contraceptives, it can cause a change in your period because your body is adjusting. If it persists and is a heavy period, please contact your doctor asap.

Best,

Rosa

I'm taking tri previfem. even now I still am bleeding, and it's really light but enough where I'd have to wear something to keep from showing through.
