My wife and i always have a discussion when she is menstruating. I always try to start things when she is going through that time of month. I say it is due to pheromones. She says it is pysoclogical because i know she is off limits. We always joke around about this and you know how married couples are, competitive, and one has to be right hehe. Can you please tell us which one is right.

One answer could be: because there is almost no risk of pregnancy when she is menstruating and you - consciuosly or inconsciously - want to avoid procreation.
