Hi there, I am 29 years old and I get my period every 18 days. I count day 1 the first day I bleed and it is heavy from day 1-day 6. I have to change every couple hours and is getting worse. It has been like this for 6 years now and I feel extrememly drained. Any suggestions? Is it related to food allergies or a genetic problem?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  This is something you should let your doctor know about.  Especially if it's been happening for the last six years.  Different condition an cause changes in your cycle.  Such as fibroids, uterine polps, infection, being underweight or it might just be a normal cycle for you.
