Why is my period short?

I started my menstrual cycle 5 days ago (on time) and I usually have a rather heavy flow. Today I noticed that it looks as if I'm about it be off of my period. My cycle lasts 7 days exactly and I have never had a change in this before. The only thing I can think of is this used to happen in the middle of my period then I would have a heavy for a few hours to a day later.

Welcome to EmpowHER. Not all cycles will be the same every month. A normal period it can be between 3-8 days. But, many things such as stress, medications and many other can cause changes. I don't think from 5 to 7 days is a big difference. Just keep monitoring your cycles and if you feel concern, it might be best to discuss it with your Gynecologist.
