Hi, today is 03/02, I think I might be pregnant. I'm late for February's period by three weeks, also only had 3 days of spotting in January, but can't recall December. On the 03/09 I will be 28 days late. I have taken 5 hpt, one being from Birthright. All came back negative. I have symptoms, such as moderate cramps, I'm always hot even when the room is cool, I've been emotional, nauseous, and I haven't been able to sleep but that's happened a lot before, I've throw up from acid reflux twice also. If I am pregnant, and I count the spotting on 01/12 as a period then I am around 8 weeks now. I felt fine today though, no symptoms besides my stomach tightening a little. I feel pregnant sometimes, I've even had dreams about having a baby twice, then I second guess myself and I feel like its all in my head. I just got approved for insurance so I'll be scheduling an appointment soon, hopefully to get blood work. It's driving me crazy. My mom didn't even get a positive blood test til after 3 months tho. I think I might just be reading into this all a little too much. But I really want to be pregnant.

Now the only symptoms I have is discomfort when laying on my stomach, and lower back pain. Still waiting on the doctor tho. Really hoping for a baby!!

Hello justinalynn94,
Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern that you might be pregnant.
As soon as you can schedule an appointment with a gynecologist/obstetrician, please do so. A blood hCG test is most accurate in confirming pregnancy. A pelvic ultrasound will confirm a pregnancy and help determine how far along you are.
In the meantime, take care of yourself as if you are pregnant. Avoid smoking, if you are a smoker, and alcoholic beverages. Eat a well balanced diet and start paying attention to content of folic acid in your diet. Research has shown that if a woman takes 400 mcg of folic acid every day, before she becomes pregnant, she reduces her risk of having a baby with Spina Bifida or another neural tube defect by as much as 70%.
Please keep us updated once you have seen a gynecologist/obstetrician. Sending positive thoughts your way.
Regards,
