Does your child beg to stay home from school? How would you handle this?

I'd talk with him or her to try to find out what was wrong and then work to solve the problem. Maybe there's a bully? Maybe the work is too hard because of a learning disability? Maybe the child doesn't want to be away from me? There could be lots of legitimate reasons and too many parents ignore the child's complaints-then they end up victims of abuse, or suicide, or other tragedies. Wake up parents, if your child is begging not to go to school, find out why!
