Fibrocystic Breasts

I'm sorry you cut yourself off, too! My daughter had fibrous cysts removed when she was just just 17. Now 24, she must go for annual exams and is lucky to have a very attentive, caring doctor. Interestingly enough, it is her otolaryngologist who keeps up with her, since she has developed fibrous cysts on her throat.

He has not been able to determine what is causing the cysts; neither could her oncologist. We don't have a history of breast cancer on either side of the family, so this is puzzling.

Sorry I cut myself off there. Anyway, I just wanted to know if any other women out there suffer with this condition and what your Doctors are recomming for it. I have to do the annual mammogram, I recently changed to the digital ones which are great, but these still lead to ultrasound exams too. I have a lot of cysts in there, my Doc has told me that I have a higher risk of developing breast cancer because of these cysts. I also go for 6 monthly clinical breast exams too.
