There's a compelling article and video interview by Dr. Jon LaPook, the Chief Medical Correspondent for the CBS Evening News, "Living With OCD" that was recently published on Huffington Post. LaPook interviewed Jeff Bell, a radio broadcaster and author who suffered horribly from OCD that was so debilitating that it was difficult for him to complete simple tasks that many of us take for granted. For example, if he was walking and saw a twig on the sidewalk, he would stop to think irrationally about what the dire consequences would be if he moved it out of the way, and what would happen if he didn't.

There is a good show on TV where the main character/hero has mild OCD - Monk. It is a detective show and delves, at times, into the psychology and challenges of those with OCD. There have been some very touching episodes - and the show is funny.
