October 3, 2015 - 1:57pmI highly suggest that you see a gynecologist. Frequent periods can be caused by something simple such as hormonal imbalances, or something more serious such as thyroid problems. If you are on any kind of birth control such as an IUD that could also be causing a problem.

Doctors usually prescribe birth control pills to balance your hormones, by simply listening to your symptoms. However, there could be other issues going on besides hormonal imbalances. This is why I suggest you have a pap smear/pelvic exam before the doctor prescribes any treatment. That way you know for certain your are being treated for the right problem.
