Day 8, 81% Waxing Gibbous
Mood: Simply Joyful
Sometimes you try so hard to make things happen, yet you feel like you’re swimming upstream and the flow is going against you in every way. But when you finally surrender and get out of the way, things begin to come together beautifully and effortlessly.
In Qi Gong and meditation, I learned the skill of relaxed concentration. Your intention is clear and focused, but you don’t force things to happen. Instead you relax and watch things happen effortlessly.
I’m beginning to apply this principle in my daily life. And today is one of those days. Effortless and harmonious…
Exercise: Such a beautiful day out. Gonna go for a walk by the beach and maybe I’ll catch a glorious sunset.
Self-esteem: Naturally I’d like to take credit for my efforts and the blame for my mistakes. But maybe it’s not about me any way. Maybe the more I get out of the way, the more joy and ease I’m likely to feel.
