It feels like there is a prescription drug abuse problem in our community especially among teens who abuse Soma. Some teens have driven across the border to purchase the drug and distribute it among their classmates. In fact, yesterday a family member said to me that he remembers when he was in high school, the people who were popular were the athletes -- the guys on the football and baseball teams and the cheerleaders. A friend of his 14-year-old daughter told him that the criteria for popularity now is ... doing drugs. And this is in suburbia.
