With the progress of human society there arose a culture of beauty which signifies the importance of looking beautiful in the eyes of self and more so in the eyes of the others. In this aspect your skin plays the most important role being the outer cover visible to others. This is particularly a sensitive issue for the lovers who want to admire each other’s skin in order to get those ecstatic feelings. But due to the fast life style, stressful working environment, lack of exercise and improper unhealthy diet the skin of many persons are aging prematurely causing much agony. The modern science of course has brought in some remedy to this sensitive issue by introducing Fraxel machine for treating the affected skin by the use of laser technology.
The skin
Before understanding the working methodology of the machine let us get some basics about the construction of our skin. Our skin is composed of three layers namely the hypodermis, dermis and the epidermis. The epidermis is the topmost layer of the skin which concerns us the most. This is the layer which is subjected to all sorts of abuses from the nature as well as from work induced damages. The ultraviolet rays from the sunlight, the dusts and the modern industrial pollutants, the attack of germs, fungus and bacteria along with the natural effect of aging are to be withstood by this top layer of our skin. This layer is composed of protein, keratin and dead cells and is constantly subjected to the dehydration process of the environment.
The middle layer dermis contains collagens and elastin which helps to keep the skin moist and resilient in spite of the effects of the environment. But due to aging and also due to exposure to ultraviolet rays and other abuses the fibers get broken down creating lines and wrinkles on the skin.
The cure using laser technology
Many people try cosmetics to get rid of the maladies but this is not a fool-proof method. The results obtained are far from encouraging. The laser skin resurfacing technology is a non surgical mode of tackling such skin aging problems which reliable and quick visible results. This is quite old method by now to remove the lines and wrinkles of your face. Though this method was quite effective in removing the wrinkles but it took a long time for recovery and sometimes hypo-pigmentation occurred causing whitening of the skin after a lapse of six months.
Fractional Laser Resurfacing
The developed resurfacing technology appeared by using CO2 laser beams which though giving a good performance so far as removal of wrinkles is concerned, requires a long and difficult healing time. The fractional laser resurfacing technology solved all these shortcomings of the earlier versions. It penetrates deep into the dermis using lighter laser beams encouraging production of collagens.
