Dr. McLaughlin shares what hyperglycemia/high blood glucose (sugar) is.

Dr. McLaughlin:
Hyperglycemia is defined as a glucose above the normal range. The current definition of normal is under 100. The current definition of diabetes is 126 or greater. So the glucose values in between are indicative of possible abnormal glucose. So again, 126 or greater is clearly diabetic range, under 100 is normal.
