Dr. Low Dog explains how a woman can determine her body is absorbing the vitamins she takes.

Dr. Low Dog:
Well, if a vitamin has undergone the USP, the United States Pharmacopoeia bioavailability and dissolution kind of testing then those will be bio available. A kind of down and dirty quick test you can do is just to take your multivitamin, throw it in a glass of water and leave it for 20 or 30 minutes. If it doesn’t mostly break down into kind of a powdery substance, if it’s still is like a bullet that you put in 30 minutes ago, I’d say that that’s probably not going to be very well absorbed inside of you. So that’s kind of a quick down and dirty test that you can do at home on your multivitamin.
