Dr. Carrie Louise Daenell, ND, is concerned about women burning out. She sees that many women are living with too much stress and it is taking a dangerous toll.
She urges women to set about making some healthy lifestyle changes to reduce stress levels, and also recommends the herb ashwagandha, and the nutrients phosphatidylserine and L-theanine. These help to maintain healthy neurotransmitter levels and alpha brainwaves which in turn can bolster rest and restoration.
I was very interested to read about this, as my own naturopath has recently started me on ashwagandha and phosphatidylserine as well. I had never heard of these supplements before.
