Celebrity Trainer Tips For Holiday Eating

It is no wonder why Americans emulate celebrities. They seem to have it all. They have money, fame, and killer looks. What most people don't see are the hours at the gym, starvation-type diets, and other medical and spa treatments that seem necessary to keep these people in their optimum shape.

When the holidays hit and most everyone else is pulling out their "fat jeans", celebrities strut the red carpet in their same body-skimming wardrobes. But they work to make that happen.

Since their livelihood depends on them staying a certain size, celebrities often employ the best and brightest physical trainers to keep them in shape, especially during the holiday season. Most average people don't have the time or money to hire these pricey, in-demand trainers, however here are some tips and tricks from celebrity trainers to help all Americans get through the holiday season without gaining the holiday the pounds.

Bobby Strom has trained Jessica Biel, Brittany Spears, Ryan Reynolds, and Blake Lively. He urges people to pick one meal during the holiday season to have a guilt-free meal. He says that Christmas is one meal, not a three day eat-all-you want fest.  He also tells clients, and everyone in general, to really think about what they are putting in their mouths.

Having a piece of the cake everyone is raving about might be worth the calories. Mindlessly snacking on the pretzels during the big game probably isn't worth the workout needed to burn off those calories later on.

Mandy Ingber, a yoga trainer for celebrities like Helen Hunt and Jennifer Aniston, wants people to focus on the things they did well that day instead of focusing on the the slip-ups during the holidays. She also has a trick she uses herself. She only eats homemade sweets to eliminate the pull to devour packaged, calorie-laden baked goods.

Once the holidays are over, despite trying their best, many Americans will have some pounds to shed. For shocking a body back into shape, celebrity trainer Ramona Braganza says adding varying paces in the workout is the key.  

Ramona is the one who got Jessica Alba back into shape just months after she had her second daughter.  She did it by mixing some intense cardio spurts in with typical upbeat workouts.  She also says it is great to add strength moves like squats after the cardio spurts.

Making smart decisions is the key for healthy living during the holidays. But also being gentle with oneself is just as important to enjoy this special time of year.
