Hi everyone.

I am writing this on behalf of my uncle, who unfortunately fell hook, line, and sinker for an online romance scam over the past year.

He drained a significant chunk of his retirement savings sending money to someone he met on a dating app.

Now that he finally accepts it was a hoax, he is desperately looking into options to claw some of that cash back.

He keeps seeing advertisements online for specialized agencies promising to retrieve scammed assets.

Are these operations legitimate, or is he just setting himself up to get scammed a second time by fraud recovery experts?
